  • 11/25/2025

The main difference between an RFID tag and an EAS security tag is that RFID tags come with built-in memory. They use an RFID chip which can store product specific unique identifier. When you scan an RFID tag, you can know which product is being scanned. EAS tags do not come with any chip, any unique identifier. There is no way to identify the actual product the EAS tag is attached to. It can only help with shoplifting.
