An EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) Security Hang Tag is a type of security tag attached to merchandise in retail stores. The tag consists of a small RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip and antenna, which emits a signal when it passes through an EAS antenna located at the store entrance. This signal is detected by the detection system, which triggers an alarm if the tag has not been deactivated prior to the customer leaving the store. The tag can be deactivated at the point of sale when the item is purchased.
